Each case is cut and finished by hand from solid larch, with a smooth sliding lid and a single channel sized for a fountain or rollerball pen. The engraving is burned into the grain, so it can't peel or fade, and because every piece is sawn from natural larch, no two grain patterns are alike.

Why larch? It's denser and more characterful than the birch and MDF most gift boxes use — it takes a crisp, permanent engrave and only deepens in tone with age, which is exactly what you want from a gift meant to last.
